About Me

This is me.

It’s a pleasure to learn with you in this course. I’ve been working in post-secondary institutions for 35 years. While a lot of my time has been in the classroom, my most recent role has been as an academic administrator (assistant dean, dean and associate vice-president). All of this work has been in support of student success, and I’m excited to apply my passion for academic access and language geekery to this course. I hold a Master of Arts in Applied Language Studies from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Ottawa.

When I’m not in the classroom, I spend time with my family (my husband also teaches at TRU, and my sons live and work in Kelowna). I’m an avid reader, decent paddle boarder, aspiring gym rat, and pitiful gardener. My favourite places to be are either at my family cabin in the Cariboo or walking on trails both here and abroad.
